About the book

This book was born out of Teresa’s series of self-development workshops called Be the Best You Can Be when participants, having reaped so much joy from the simple spiritual exercises that form (quite a small) part of this course, said:

“We want more of that please!”

She was happy to oblige.

She is a regular churchgoer, however, she also feels spiritually uplifted by nature – which she attributes to her Celtic background. It is from this latter standpoint that she wrote the book, which, free from theological jargon, makes it accessible to everyone - including seekers, and non-believers open to the existence of God.

The book contains a practical spiritual development course. The nine easy 15 minute daily steps are fun to do and amazingly relaxing. You are encouraged to, say, hold a stone, watch a glowing candle, or smell some perfume. (Readers love this part and have many stories to tell about how they made their item choices.) This tangible aspect nudges the mind away from stress. This use of the senses can also deepen your experience of God. The book is beautifully illustrated by Toni Ndikanwu which adds its own dimension  – as you can see from the lovely beach view on this page, and other illustrations around the site.
