Why I Wrote 9 Days To Heaven

In 1993 the Sunday Times ran their annual poll “Who believes in God?” The results revealed a dramatic decline in the number of believers. In the under 16’s it was only 1 in 10!

As a practising Christian I made the decision there and then to become even more open in my Faith and more active in passing it on.

I had learnt that by attempting to do the latter through theological persuasion I usually created a brick wall. After much thought and prayer I discovered a new and very different approach - EMPATHY.

Over the years with friends, strangers, in my journalism, and in my workshops I have spoken my truth quietly:

God loves you and wants to be part of your life. He wants you to be happy and to live fully and courageously. And that can only be for the good.

This all came together in my book 9 Days to Heaven which is for everyone tired of the same old, same old...
